update

Over spring break I did all my lithography printing. Right now they are in my portfolio case so I dont have any pics.

But this week I met with the professors to discuss the building phase of my project. In the picture below I bought some supplies to begin trials and building.

I ordered a sample "mirror" of mylar from this website. They have 3 different thicknesses. I bought archival photo mount for the mylar and print mount for the prints. I bought linen hanging tape to create hinges to string the fish line in. The Letra tac is another technique in mounting. I also bought archival board.

This week I am going to:
* reprint the ear and reprint the lips. I redrew a new plate of the lips today.
* order the mirrored mylar
* trial with spray mount and letra tac
* color pencil my prints.
* cut archival board at laser cutter.

and Figure out;
* hardware for fishing line
* building grid
* buy hardware for grid to attach to ceiling.

Hours: A ton. Because the printing is complete (almost), I spent this past week buying materials and writing my thesis.

Progress

This past week was cutting the wood up for the benches after redesigning a whole new system of assembly with John Baird using threaded inserts versus glue.

Finished shellac and sanding process, prepped mold and poured.

Solved some design problems that I didn't forsee and in general am regretting my entire IP project.

But the show must go on to graduate.

Progress Feb 20-26

I've filmed the final section of the video for Concertina, here are some stills from the filming session:

I've started some abstractions for Walking on Eggshells as well, here are some stills from what I am working on. The technique is slow to produce but yielding nice results so far.
