I also edited a font that I was using as a stand-in for headings on all of the pages. Below you can see the original font, in black, with the inline and exaggerated 'ribbon' forms. I made minor alterations so that certain letters didn't look so goofy next to each other, and more distinct changes to A,W,X, and Y. I thought that it wouldn't take me so long, but of course it did.
Additionally, I finally fixed the Joselito bull image so he would look like he was getting thrown around a little more.
I also made little banners that say 'DEAD' and 'ALIVE', you can see one in the Joselito image.
I'll be printing from 2:30pm on tomorrow, after picking up a lighter blue ink and fixing problems with the images on my screens.
I also stopped over at the apartment space on Thursday evening to take some photos, talk it over with the owners and plan things. Our group talked about the exhibition and we decided that I would just show at the apartment space (whew, that takes off some pressure), with Ellen and Megan showing at the warehouse (if it all works out for them). We're going to plan the shows all on the same night and coordinate times, shuttles, etc. with other local exhibitions.
The next zine is being researched/sketched. Sketches will be posted this week.
