I have been currently working on my rhino skills in order to make my molds for my concrete cloth. I have also been making models for my next furniture piece. Attached are some images of the models/iterations.
1/09- 1/14
Monday: 4 hours: sketching, illustrator files
Tuesday: 8 hours: laser cutting, assembly of various iterations of sketch models, attempting to work on my rhino skills.
Thursday: 2 hours: going to the reuse center seeing some wood
Friday: 4 hours: spoke to Mike Vitale and John Baird about CNC routing and assembly of the table.
I’ve also been looking up artists to reference for my thesis and am trying to fine tune exactly what I want to get out of this semester IP progress. I have narrow it down to still making 4 pieces of furniture however my goal is to have 3 pieces in the show. I am planning on working with concrete cloth and possibly light weight concrete. I’m not sure exactly if I want to work with multiple types of concrete or just one of them.
