I met and worked with Ted Kennedy, an owner of a bar in Kerrytown to coordinate renting out his space for a night to install the pop up restauraunt. We are still working out all the finer details but now that I have a space, everything is becoming a lot more real.
I also worked on research of cultural taboos in other aspects, ie salt and pepper.
So. I am currently working on designing a set of salt and pepper shakers (porcelain slip cast) that will accompany the tables and benches. They will force the user to spill because of their round forms, creating mental discomfort rooted in taboos and superstitions.
Technical drawings of table layouts, benches and space are wrapping up and will be scanned tomorrow and re-posted. I just keep them at home and my scanner is broken and I keep forgetting to grab them.
Time Log
-Monday - 3 hours research
-Tuesday - 6 studio + 6 hours designing Salt and Pepper Shakers (night time, outside of studio)
-Wednesday - 2 hours working with Ted
-Thursday - 6
