This past week I have started to work on testing out ways to make concrete lighter. I made 5 samples. All of them are approx. 7”L X 7”W X 2”H. The first sample is of plain concrete. The second with lava rock. The third with packaging peanuts. The fourth with both packaging peanuts and lava rock. And lastly the 5th with gelatin. The concrete had to dry for 24 hrs and was mixed with concrete fortifier.

Also, this week I went and purchased my urban wood to start with my dining table idea. I bought it, planed it, and cut it to size. It is approx. 40” by 40” but the dimensions will change once the concrete inlay is casted. The wood is black locus.
Lastly, I have been researching this material called concrete cloth which is produced in the UK and am trying to get samples of it so that i can possibly use it in my IP project.
