So the past 2 weeks I have been contacting concrete canvas which was finally a success-(they are mailing me samples of the concrete cloth in various thickness that should arrive next wk.)
I pulled apart my molds for the concrete samples (the plain concrete was heaviest, then the lava
rock, then the packaging peanuts and lava rock combo, and lastly the packaging peanuts alone.)
I made a model of my sketch for one of my first furniture explorations using concrete. I then figured out the math/dimensions of the dining table and have started the mold making process. I should be pouring my concrete early next week. (I do not plan on using any of the techniq
ues I tested before for this particular project since the thickness of the concrete is only 1.5" however I will be using a different mix of concrete with silica for structural stability.
I have also sanded and finished my wood to 250. I will finish sanding to 800 post concrete pour.
