litho progro

I got a lot of work done this week, which makes me right on my IP schedule - wooo!

Herez my hours:
Tuesday - Critique day. Drew on grid sheets with vine charcoal (2 hours).

Wednesday - (2 hours) met with off-site group

Thursday - Studio/class day (8 hours) finished drawing images on grids, transfered the images with dragon's blood (love that name). FINALLY drew on the 5 plates with the grease pens!

Friday -First etch, cut newsprint to size

Sunday - (6 hours) second etch and roll-up printing.

Here is a close-up of one of the litho plates before the first etch.

On Friday I did the first etch. Today I did a roll-up/second etch. I built up the image incredibbllyyy slowww(ly?)... Somehow the nose filled in really quickly. Newsprint is really thin so maybe the image appears darker than it is.

This is a close-up of the ear on newsprint. I really like the ear. It has nice contrast and good boards, I think it would make a really nice individual edition.

okeeyyy! bye!
