I wouldn't necessarily call the following photos my "best" ideas. I just think they give a good visual explanation of the direction I'm going in.

I want to create an installation inspired by fashion. This sketch shows the type of pleating techniques I would like to use. I like the idea of overlapping and weaving fabric for a larger project (IP !!!).

This is a simple dress I designed. Its a beginning sketch to show the "soft", feminine quality I would like to employ for the bigger installation. Also, I think it's simple style would be good for printing a stone lithograph, which would wrap around the garment.

Yet, another dress to inspire the installation. This one has more detailing, pleating, handwork etc. I think it would be interesting to embroider ontop of a lithograph to give more dimension to the image.
Ultimately, I appreciate the flow that the woman's body has towards creating a fashionable silhouette. I would like to use the curvilinearity of the woman's body to inspire the installation's form. This a pretty rough sketch of how I imagine the materials flowing. I think it would be interesting to exaggerate the perspective and scale of the space.

This is a sample I did this weekend of a purse that has pleating. I want to do more of these mini-projects this semester.

This is a swatch I did of experimental pleating and texture effects.
